If you know of or would like to know more about any Arabic poets who write in either MSA or other vernacular forms of poetry, let me know in the comments! I look forward to any poetry recommendations and appreciate all the support.
Thank you for the suggestion! Omar Khayyam is an interesting character in that, like most scholars of the past, he was more than just a poet, he was a polymath and excelled in many fields. I look forward to delving into one of his many iconic poems.
Of course! What good is having the English translation without its Arabic counterpart? Though the poem is short, it sure helps to have both scripts to refer to.
I agree entirely . But in the context of English supremacist ideology and the monolingualism of most whyte people, they generally don’t like to be reminded that most people of colour giving half a chance, are multilingual if not bilingual and so more skills than they do!!!

Thank you for this
If you are going to do political poetry then may I request Khalil Gibran لكم لبنانكم و لي لبناني ?
For sure! Once the month of love is over I'll revert back to all forms of poetry, not just romantic ones
A beautiful love peom for Egypt by her loyal son Negm. If you listen to Imam singing it you will feel it more! Thank you dear Scholar.
I would like to suggest another poet: Omar Khayyam.

Wonderful evocation of love for one's place of birth.... and a big thank you for including the Arabic script, not only the English translation.
