Have you ever heard of a writer who does not know how to write? A writer who does not know how to describe? One who has an idea yet is unable to put it into words. If not, then I envy such writers. If so, then introduce me, and help me join the long line of scattered thoughts and twisted tongues.
As I finalize a new series in celebration of the milestone from last week, I am left with only the name to choose. I'm not quite sure what to call it. Is the name important, or would a description suffice? I think and rethink a name, but nothing comes to mind. On one hand, my mind tells me to refer to it as a photo adventure, on the other as a photo magazine, but is it really so if there are more than just photos? It’s true, they won’t be all photos, but then what will it be?
The idea is an illustrated biography, a unique take on the traditional method of biographies focused on renowned philosophers, poets, and other literary geniuses. Replacing words, photos; photos of historic landmarks, paintings, nature, and childhood, all coming from the native country and origin of moving literary works. War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy has 1392 pages. Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, has 1463 pages. The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky has 796 pages. Surely there were influences from their native countries behind their greatest pieces. This I guess, is what the series is. An insight into what led to the genius through a photo time capsule. A picture is worth a thousand words, and this series will tell a thousand stories.
But as mentioned before, It won’t just be photos. This series offers a sensory adventure in the form of a time capsule. Along with every post, there will be relaxing music to go along with it, quotes from their greatest works, paintings of the time, architecture, nature, statues, and more. Whatever there be to influence these writers will be included in the monthly magazine.
The following is a test, appropriately set as an introduction to spring. This demonstrates the format it will hold for the rest of the time capsules. Please enjoy the view through a desktop to get the best experience (email will not show it all). I appreciate any feedback. Enjoy!
